I will pick you up in front of your hotel and we will begin our journey towards the Douro Valley, one of the oldest demarcated wine regions in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage landscape. Traveling in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan with all the necessary insurances and licences, you can relax and enjoy the scenic drive as the city slowly gives way to vineyards, terraces, and river views.

Along the way, we will stop at carefully selected viewpoints where you can fully appreciate the dramatic scenery of the Douro River surrounded by rolling vineyard hills. I will explain the history of the region, the origins of Port wine, and how wine production has shaped local life for centuries.

We will visit a traditional winery where you will learn about the wine-making process and enjoy a guided wine tasting featuring regional wines and Port. This experience allows you to understand both the tradition and the modern techniques behind one of Portugal’s most famous exports.

During the day, we will also enjoy a traditional lunch in the region, offering local flavors paired with the relaxed atmosphere of the valley. There will be free time to take photos, walk around the vineyards, and simply enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the Douro landscape.

After a full and relaxing day combining nature, gastronomy, and wine culture, we return comfortably to Porto.
